About

 Tasha Stearns-Clemons (she/her) is a multifaceted dancer and choreographer from Bainbridge Island, Washington. She received her preliminary technical training from the Pacific Northwest Ballet School as well as Bainbridge Dance Center, under the direction of Christiana Axelson. She spent her summers throughout high school attending a variety of programs such as the American Ballet Theatre summer intensive, the Colorado Ballet summer intensive, and the summer dance program at Cornish College of the Arts. She then accepted her offer to attend Point Park University on scholarship to study dance with a concentration in ballet, where she performed in both contemporary and ballet works, and excerpts from The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and La Bayadere staged by Susan Stowe. At Point Park she had the opportunity to train under many renowned teachers and choreographers such as Jae Man Joo, Jason McDole, Crystal Frazier, Rocker Verastique, Jesse Factor, Slowdanger, and Norbert de la Cruz lll. She participated in numerous summer programs throughout her college years such as the Northwest Dance Project, under the direction of Sarah Slipper where she performed choreography by Ishan Rustem, The Pillow Project intensive directed by Jaka Pearl Porter, and the Jacob Jonas intensive at Orsalina28. Tasha supplemented her dance training with technical experience including acting as lighting board operator for several Point Park productions and front of house work. Ms Stearns-Clemons is known for her creativity, energy, and strong open-minded presence in the rehearsal space as well as her unique, experimental, and expressive movement style.
